  • Does your perception of the artwork change after looking at it for a while?
  • If you had to describe this artwork in one word or sentence, what would it be?

2 A Conversation with the Artwork

 Imagine the artwork is speaking to you.

  • If the artwork could introduce itself, what would it say?
  • If you could ask the artist one question about this piece, what would it be?
  • Does this artwork remind you of a personal experience or memory?

3 Expanding the Senses

Experience the artwork through different senses.

  • If this artwork had a sound, what would it be? (e.g., a whisper, an explosion, the sound of nature, etc.)
  • If this artwork were a food, what would it taste like?
  • Close your eyes and picture the artwork. What is the strongest element that stays in your mind?

4 Time and Space in the Artwork

Imagine this artwork in a different time or place.

  • Does this artwork reflect the characteristics of the time period it was created in?
  • If this artwork existed in a different era (past or future), how would it be perceived?
  • How would your experience of this artwork change if it were placed in an urban setting, in nature, or in outer space?

5 The Hidden Story of the Artwork

Think about what the artwork reveals—and what it conceals.

  • What might this artwork be hiding?
  • If this artwork were a scene from a film, what would the full story be?
  • Create a narrative for the people, objects, or landscape in (or absent from) the artwork.

6 Connecting the Artwork to Technology

 How does this artwork relate to modern technology?

  • If this artwork were recreated using digital tools (AI, VR, NFT), how would it change?
  • If this artwork could move or come to life, what would it do?
  • What are the hidden technologies, tools, or materials that made this artwork possible?

7 Finding Connections in the Gallery

 Compare this artwork to others in the gallery.

  • Find another artwork that shares similar themes, colors, or forms—why do you think they are connected?
  • Find the artwork that contrasts the most with your chosen piece. What makes them so different?
  • Can you connect multiple artworks to create a larger narrative or concept map?

8 Expanding into Your Own Creation

 Use this artwork as inspiration for a new creation.

  • If you could modify one element of this artwork, how would you change it?
  • Use the colors, shapes, or composition of this piece to create a short poem, sketch, or text.
  • Reimagine this artwork using a completely different medium (photography, sound, movement, etc.).

How to Use This Kit:

  • Students can explore independently and then engage in small group discussions about their findings.
  • Encourage diverse responses, including sketches, writing, and photos.
  • After the gallery visit, students can revisit these questions to reflect on how their perspectives have shifted.
