Renata Felinto (Born in São Paulo, 1978) lives and works in Crato, in the State of Ceará.
Renata Felinto is an Afro-diasporic woman and mother of Benedita Nzinga and Francisco Madiba. She is a visual artist, researcher, and teacher. She has a B.A, M.A. and Ph.D. in Visual Arts from the Instituto de Artes/UNESP. She is a Specialist in Curatorship and Education in Art Museums from the Museu de Arte Contemporânea/USP. Felinto has a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Center for Africana Studies and is Artist-in-Residence at the University of Pennsylvania (Spring 2023). She is an Adjunct professor of the Graduation in Visual Arts and of the Professional Master in Visual Arts at the Universidade Regional do Cariri, in the state of Ceará. She was a Professor in the Specialization in Contemporary Cultural Management of Escola Itaú. She worked as a Curator of the 15ª Biennial Naifs do Brasil (Miguel Arcanjo de Cultura, in Visual Arts Category 2021 Award) and as Curator of the Educative of the 15ª Biennial Naifs do Brasil. She was also Adjunct curator at the Instituto Oficina de Cerâmica Francisco Brennand. She is part of the Associação Brasileira de Críticos de Arte.
