Maria Antelman

Maria Antelman (born Athens, Greece) is a video artist based in New York. She holds a BA in Art History from Complutense University in Madrid, Spain and an MFA from Columbia University in New York. Her work has been shown at Videonale in Bonn; at Apex Art, Room East, Ryan Lee Gallery, and Gavin’s Brown Enterprise at Passerby in New York; at Jack Hanley Gallery and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco; at Melanie Flood Projects in Portland OR; at The Agency in London; at Eugenides Foundation, Onassis Foundation, The War Museum, The Apartment Gallery and The National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens; at La Casa Encendida in Madrid; at Gio Marconi Gallery in Milan; at Fondazione Pitti in Florence; at Impakt Festival in Utrecht; transmediale in Berlin and the Moscow International Film Festival. She has been awarded a grant from the J.F. Costopoulos Foundation and residencies at ISCP and at Pioneer Works in New York.
