Lilia Ziamou

Lilia Ziamou is intrigued by the possibilities and impossibilities that emerge when existing boundaries are challenged. The confines of the physical body are at the core of her art practice and she has been exploring physical and digital transformations and manipulations. Her work addresses themes of identity, self-expression, beauty, and decay, and challenges existing boundaries and preconceptions. Her recent solo exhibitions include The Consulate General of Greece in New York, New York, NY (2017 and 2010); Gallery 7, Athens, Greece (2016); Elga Wimmer, New York, NY (2013); Tenri Gallery, New York, NY (2011).
