Bill Pangburn

Bill Pangburn studied fine arts at the Phillips-Universitaet, Marburg an der Lahn, Germany, Tulane University (BA), and Pratt Institute (MFA).  He has lived and worked professionally as an artist in New York City since graduating from Pratt in 1981. He is also an adjunct assistant professor at John Jay College and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York for drawing and printmaking, respectively, and he is the director of the Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery at John Jay College. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in New York, across the country, and internationally.

His work is represented in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY; the Henan Museum, Zhangzhou, China; the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, San Angelo, Texas; Dishman Art Museum, Beaumont, Texas; National Gallery/Amaterus Foundation, Sofia, Bulgaria; Sanbao Ceramic Institute, Jingdezhen, China; and Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY; as well as private collections.
