The revolution started in Syria in 2011, it was called at that time “The Arab Spring” in regards to the positive change that was hoped for, then it became a bloody disaster civil war that still occurs until now “2024”.
Fares Alhalabi moved to the USA in 2013 after he earned his BFA in painting and drawing at Damascus University Of Fine Arts. He has been struggling for over a decade trying to have a safe home to stay in. He earned his MFA from the print media department from his dream school “The Art Institute Of Chicago” in May 2024, after a long demanding time as a foreigner from the Middle East living in the USA.
Alhalabi always wants to learn the print world and spread his work as much as he can, he believes in quantity and repetition
