Junghwa Paik

Junghwa Paik is Korean-born painter who spent many years to studying and making metal artworks in United States. She studied in Sculpture at Ewha Womans University, Seoul. After finish her BFA, she moved and studied at Montgomery College  and Towson University for sculpture and Metal art. She attempt to developing new and intriguing patterns and textures to enhance and embellish with the basic forms. In addition, the artist focus on expressing art jewelry as wearable small scale sculpture.

She started to showing her artworks since 2000, Ewha’s Biennial Traveling Exhibition (Germany & Korea) and regularly  exhibited her works world widely, which are 3M SNAG Competition, SNAG Conference (San Francisco),Korean American Artists Association Annual Exhibit (Rockville&Ellicott, MD),Potomac Artist in Touch, CITI Bank Exhibition Hall (Potomac, MD), Spring Breeze, Eleven Jewelry Artists: Jeweler’s Gallery (Annadale,VA), Voice of The Morning Calm (Manassas Art Center, USA), Korea Metal Art &Jewelry Design Today (Embassy of Republic of KOREA, USA), Arirang (Embassy of The Republic of Korea, Washington DC), Fire from the Forge (Maryland, USA),  Chosen Homeland: Searching for Women’s Identity and Unity (Virginia, USA), Solo Jewerly Trunk show (Washington DC) etc.
