Trained as Korean traditional ink painter and Minhwa (folk painting) painter, Min Sun Oh graduated renowned art school and awarded numerous art competition in Seoul, Korea. She received her BFA in Oriental Painting from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea and taught in Art Institute, Bundang, Korea. She worked as a designer of dinnerware at Virginia and became active emerging artist in Virginia in the U.S. She is a member of Hanmee Artist Association, Nokmi Artist Association, and K-International Minhwa Korean Fork Art Association. She believes that the Korean traditional media, ink wash painting fits to express the moment when the lives of these women were forfeit to become sex slaves for the Japanese soldiers due to its soak and stain technique. She works to honor and recognize their endurance and dignity during the darkest of times.
